The TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is the fourth edition of India’s premier women’s franchise T20 tournament and begins on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the league features five franchises: defending champions Mumbai Indians, along with Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz.
Matches are being staged across two venues, with the opening leg hosted at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, followed by the second phase of the tournament, including the playoffs and final, at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
Running from January 9 to February 5, 2026, the tournament follows a double round-robin format in the league stage, promising closely contested encounters throughout.
... The team finishing at the top of the table will qualify directly for the final, while the second and third-placed teams will face off in the Eliminator to determine the other finalist.
Weekend double-headers, featuring afternoon matches at 3:00 p.m. and evening matches at 7:30 p.m., further enhance the viewing experience.
