India Wins First Women's T20 Blind Cricket World Cup
India, with Deepika TC as captain, has won the first Women's T20 World Cup for the Blind, defeating Nepal by seven wickets. This is just after India won the Women's ODI World Cup.
Chasing 114/5, which Nepal had made, India scored 117/3 in just 12.1 overs at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium in Sri Lanka. The highest scorer for India was Phula Saren from Santhal village in Odisha, who made 44 off 27 balls.
TCS Appoints Kritika Saxena to Lead India Marketing Strategy
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has appointed Kritika Saxena as the new Head of Marketing for India, marking a key leadership transition within the IT major. This year’s theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls,” puts a sharp focus on the escalating threat of online abuse. The campaign forms part of UN Women’s #NoExcuse movement, calling for stronger accountability from legal systems and technology platforms.

Deepti Sharma Receives Highest Bid at WPL 2026 Auction
Star Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma fetched the highest bid in the Women’s Premier League 2026 auction. Named the Player of the Tournament during the 2025 Women’s World Cup, Deepti was picked by UP Warriorz through the RTM card for ₹3.20 crore to be the second-highest-paid Indian player in the WPL after the RCB captain Smriti Mandhana.
ILSS to Host India Women's Leadership Conference 2025 in Delhi
