By: Ayushi Dutta, Senior Correspondent

India's startup funding market entered the final quarter of 2026 with a clear shift towards fewer, larger transactions. According to Tracxn's India Tech 9M 2026 report, Indian technology startups raised $10.3 billion in the first nine months of 2026, a 7% increase from $9.7 billion in the same period of 2025. However, the number of funding deals fell 38% to 1,134, highlighting the growing concentration of capital in selected businesses.

Against this backdrop, September saw 12 women-led Indian startups raise a combined Rs 418.25 crore, spanning pre-seed, pre-Series A, seed, Series A and Series D funding. Consumer brands remained prominent, while AI, climate-tech, food, healthcare and digital infrastructure also attracted capital. From early angel-backed ventures building product-market fit to established brands raising growth capital, the month's deals show the varied funding journeys of women founders and co-founders.

The Women Entrepreneurs Review team tracks these developments to highlight the businesses and founders shaping India's evolving startup ecosystem.
