Preventive pain care brand Betterhood has raised Rs 11.5 crore in a seed funding round led by Sauce, with existing investor Kairon Capital also participating. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to use the funding to support its next phase of growth.

The latest investment follows an earlier Rs 5 crore funding round led by Kairon Capital in March. Yogesh Kabra, Rishubh Satiya, Rohit Chawla, Sifat Khurana and Shayamal Vallabhjee also participated in that round.

According to Betterhood, the new funds will be used to expand its product portfolio and strengthen distribution through quick-commerce platforms and modern retail channels. The company also plans to scale its content and physiotherapist community.

Key Highlights:

  • Betterhood raises Rs 11.5 crore in a seed round led by Sauce to expand its preventive pain care business
  • The startup plans to grow its product range, retail distribution and physiotherapist community
  • Betterhood’s Physio Circle now has over 7,000 physiotherapists focused on pain prevention, movement and recovery

Founded in October 2024 by Vikram Kadam and Neha Zade, Betterhood is developing a preventive pain care brand focused on addressing early signs of back, neck and joint discomfort.

Its product range includes posture and ergonomic supports, orthotic soft goods such as back, knee, ankle and wrist supports, along with pain relief and recovery products.

The company says that based on market research, these categories account for a market of approximately Rs 20,000 crore in India, and are expanding at a low to mid-teens rate.

Betterhood is also working on creating Physio Circle, a national network of physiotherapists dedicated to spreading awareness about posture, pain prevention, movement and recovery. There are now over 7,000 physiotherapists in the community, the company said.

The startup has also introduced The Physio Edge, a certification program for early career physiotherapists to help close the gap between study and practice.

According to betterhood, over 2 lacs customers have been served since its launch and have published 1,500 of their education content on platforms related to posture, pain prevention, movement and recovery.

On the funding side, there has been some recent activity in the segment: Nivaan Care, which raised $7 million to expand its non-surgical chronic pain management clinics. Wearable pain management device maker CURAPOD has raised Rs 20 crore in a pre-Series A round to grow its sizzle.

Meanwhile, photobiomodulation-based technology had raised Rs 1 crore while Heatronics had mobilised Rs 1.8 crore for its preventive pain management and heat therapy devices.

Zanskar has raised Rs 2.8 crore in 2025 to expand its pain care portfolio and to invest in R&D in chronic pain and recovery.

Stance Health also raised $1m to develop its tech-powered approach to musculoskeletal care, encompassing the diagnosis, physio and recovery programs.
