Mumbai-based beauty and body care brand MoroMaa has raised Rs 1.5 crore from Aviral Bhatnagar of AJ VC in exchange for a 9% equity stake. The funding comes as the company looks to expand its presence in India’s growing beauty and personal care market.
Founded by Soundous Moufakir, MoroMaa launched in June 2026, with a focus on bringing Moroccan beauty traditions and ingredients to Indian consumers. The brand describes its approach as M Beauty, a Moroccan-inspired beauty category built around ingredients sourced directly from Morocco.
The company has recorded early customer traction within months of its launch, with two of its products reportedly selling out during the first two months of operations. MoroMaa plans to use the newly raised capital to develop more products, strengthen its distribution network and expand its reach across India.
