A historic victory has rewritten the script of women’s cricket in India. The WER team presents a roundup of all the rewards and recognitions presented to India’s World Cup-winning women cricketers by their respective state governments.

India’s ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 triumph has sparked an unprecedented nationwide celebration, transforming the champions into symbols of pride, power, and progress. From the electrifying moment they lifted the trophy at DY Patil Stadium to the weeks that followed, the players have been honoured with multi-crore cash rewards, government job offers, civic receptions, and heart-warming homecoming parades. It is a watershed moment for Indian sport, one that doesn’t just applaud excellence but rewards it with scale, dignity, and opportunity.

The impact extends well beyond official honours. Stars like Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma are witnessing soaring brand value and digital influence, while cities across the country, from Mumbai and Mohali to Siliguri and Chhatarpur, have celebrated their daughters through grand rallies, cultural events, and school visits.

Alongside the ICC's $4.48 million prize purse, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) led the celebrations by announcing a Rs 51 crore reward pool for the squad and support staff at the national level. Tata Motors has announced that each World Cup winner will receive the soon-to-be-relaunched Tata Sierra, with the keys already on their way. The champions were also invited to meet the President and Prime Minister, receiving heartfelt commendations and assurances of continued support to strengthen women’s cricket infrastructure and pathways. These gestures set the tone for what soon became a cascade of state-driven honours.

The Women Entrepreneurs Review Magazine has curated a roundup of all the rewards and recognitions upon India’s World Cup-winning women cricketers by their respective state governments. Dive in to see who received what:
