- In Assam, a domestic company called Luit Blue has introduced its first line of packaged drinking water products
- The product line consists of 500 ml and 750 ml bottles for consumption while on the go as well as 20-liter PET jars for home use
With the introduction of its first batch of products, Assam's indigenous brand Luit Blue has formally entered the state's packaged drinking water market. In order to satisfy the needs of a broad spectrum of customers, the initial rollout consists of 500 ml and 750 ml bottles made for on-the-go hydration as well as 20-liter PET jars for domestic use.
Luit Blue, which prioritizes quality, accessibility, and community development, is well-positioned to become the industry leader in the regional drinking water market. “In response to market demand, we have launched the 750 ml bottle at a reasonable price of Rs 10”. The founder of D & Chaliha Enterprise, Lona Chaliha (Mondalica), stated that “every unit undergoes a rigorous purification procedure in accordance with FSSAI standards, guaranteeing safe and clean drinking water”.
At Luit Blue's state-of-the-art facility near Chandrapur in Guwahati, the water is purified using a multi-step process that includes ozonization, UV treatment, and reverse osmosis (RO), followed by stringent microbiological testing. Every batch is guaranteed to be free of contamination and has undergone laboratory verification.
With the majority of its employees being local women, Luit Blue also promotes women-led employment. In order to foster professional growth and economic empowerment, the organization regularly offers training in quality control, logistics, and packaging.
Luit Blue plans to introduce new pack sizes and variations in the future to better satisfy the growing demand in Assam and the Northeast. The company is also investigating strategic partnerships with distributors, institutions, and retailers in order to broaden its reach.
The brand's dedication to purity, toughness, and clean hydration is reflected in the name "Luit Blue," which was inspired by the Brahmaputra River, which is referred to as "Luit" in the area. The term "blue" emphasizes the water's clarity as well as its goal of providing sustainable, mineral-rich refreshments.
Luit Blue wants to be the preferred water brand in Northeast India, offering more than just hydration—it also offers hope, health, and empowerment. The company's vision is to make clean water a right, not a privilege.
