What advantages do companies gain from diverse workforce and leadership teams?
In finance and banking, where trust and decision-making are everything, diversity is a genuine competitive edge. Diverse teams bring varied lenses to risk assessment, client relationships, and market strategy — helping institutions serve a wider spectrum of customers with greater empathy and insight. From the boardroom to the front line, inclusive leadership reduces collective blindness and strengthens governance. I've seen first hand how teams that reflect the world around them, make bolder, better-informed decisions. Diversity isn't a checkbox — it's the foundation of resilient, future-ready financial institutions.
Can you share the mantra or philosophy that keeps you going?
I lead with purpose and stay grounded in people. Banking may be numbers‑driven, but its real impact is human—shaping businesses, families, and communities. On tough days, I return to my “why” and to those I hope to create pathways for. Mentoring young women entering finance keeps me anchored, because equitable representation and inclusion are not ideals—they are responsibilities. Every seat I hold at the table is an opportunity to carry others with me. I stay energized by curiosity, humility, and people who challenge and uplift me—because leadership, at its best, is about showing up – fully and authentically, while enabling others to rise with you.
