TATA WPL 2026: Six Power-Packed Debutants to Watch Out For
By: WE Staff
Gautami Naik (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

Gautami Naik is set to make her WPL debut with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in TATA WPL 2026, emerging as a reliable batting all-rounder from the domestic circuit. The 27-year-old right-handed batter and off-spinner from Maharashtra has built a strong reputation representing Maharashtra, Baroda, and Nagaland. She was part of Maharashtra’s title-winning Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2025 squad and impressed in the Women’s Maharashtra Premier League, finishing as the third-highest run-scorer with 173 runs, including an unbeaten 70. Uncapped at the international level, she brings experience, consistency, and balance, adding valuable middle-order depth and spin options to an RCB side led by Smriti Mandhana.
Triveni Vasistha (Mumbai Indians)

Triveni Vasistha is set to make her WPL debut with the Mumbai Indians in TATA WPL 2026, emerging as one of the league’s youngest uncapped prospects. The 18-year-old left-arm orthodox spinner and left-handed batter from Haryana was signed for Rs 20 lakh at the mega auction after impressing on the domestic circuit. She played a key role in Haryana’s Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy Elite triumph in 2025 and has featured in the BCCI COE Emerging squad. Vasistha’s control with the ball, all-round potential, and exposure to elite training environments make her a player to watch in a star-studded MI lineup led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
