Women-Led Ventures Get Digital Push from Hitachi Rail & UBUNTU

In association with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Hitachi Rail and the UBUNTU Consortium have partnered together launching a digital growth initiative aimed at empowering women-led enterprises across Karnataka.
The initiative by Hitachi Rail is said to upskill thousands of women entrepreneurs’ from 10 different associations in digital marketing. The drive will support growth and unlock broader market opportunities for women in the dynamic landscape of trade and industry.
Key locations including Bengaluru, Chintamani, Tumakuru, Bagalkot, Udupi, Kalaburagi, Hospet, Chitradurga, and Mandya have been identified to implement and strengthen on-ground execution.
The platform is expected to drive capability building, strengthen supply chain participation, and provide enterprise growth across infrastructure and related industries, UBUNTU Founder-President and former Chief Secretary K Ratnaprabha noted.
In an official agreement, the partnership has been cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) led by the CSR programme. K Ratnaprabha also notes that the collaboration acts as a platform to empower women-led businesses to contribute meaningfully to large-scale developments and across opportunities across global value networks.
