CAIT Hosts Women Entrepreneurs Meet on Women's Reservation Bill

In the midst of ongoing discussion around the Women’s Reservation Bill in parliament, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will host a two-day National Women Entrepreneur’s Conference on 17th and 18th April in New Delhi. The event will take place at Hindi Bhavan Auditorium and is expected to bring together over 300 women entrepreneurs, startup leaders, and businesswomen across India.
Member of Parliament and CAIT National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal says that the conference will provide a platform to the women leaders to share their views on the Women Reservation Bill , which is now being viewed as a giant leap towards the empowerment of women in India. BC Bhartia, the National President of CAIT, will preside over the event.
Several Prominent women in the field of women empowerment will participate in panel discussion and sessions. The conference will emphasize on the importance of the bill, its long term effects and the way it can empower women to have more involvement in the political, economic and social arena.
The Women’s reservation Bill is being considered as a radical step that transcends political representation. It is geared towards increasing women participation in decision making and thus the growth and development of the country. Women entrepreneurs believe that the bill will create a new opportunities, increase confidence and a better identity to millions of women across India.
In addition to focusing on the bill, other crucial issues that will be discussed in the conference such as the digital literacy, women entrepreneurs financial inclusion, and the role of social media in business growth. Special focus will be given to initiatives like ‘Lakhpati Didi’, that seek to empower women in rural and remote places. The concept of “Healthy Women- Prosperous Family”will also be explored.
The conference will also aim at developing a systematic action plan to make women empowerment a nationwide movement. The participants will keenly track the events in Parliament and align their future activities with it, ensuring that the movement for empowering women continues to grow.
