DITTO Daily, a health tech company founded in 2024 by celebrated nutrition scientist Alice van der Schoot, has raised £1.35 million in pre-seed funding. The round, led by Eka Ventures, will be used to fund the company's efforts in creating evidence-based supplements that treat both physical and emotional symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle.
DITTO's leading product, the Cycle Supplement, contains 10 clinically tested ingredients and employs a novel 'beadlet-in-oil' delivery system to maximize absorption. Designed to combat specific symptoms such as PMS and PMDD, it has demonstrated encouraging results—88 percent of trial participants in a recent study reported diminishing overall symptom severity.
"Our goal is to bridge the gap between what science understands and the old or ineffective solutions many women continue to use," stated founder Alice van der Schoot. "This investment allows us to grow our research and offer smarter, evidence-based products to women everywhere."
Within four months of its UK launch, the Cycle Supplement has gathered momentum among consumers who constantly report enhancements in cramps, bloating, mood swings, and energy levels. The firm is set to carry out three more clinical trials later this year to further secure its scientific basis.
DITTO Daily's success has been fueled partly by its real-time digital presence, boasting a total following of more than 116,000 on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
Besides Eka Ventures, other notable investor Jean-Baptise Wautier was also part of the funding round. Eka General Partner Camilla Dolan commended the startup's mission, saying:
"We are thrilled to support DITTO in making advanced science a part of daily health. The early clinical outcomes clearly demonstrate the vast unmet need and revolutionary potential in women's health innovation."
