Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) conducted interactive one-day workshops for women entrepreneurs and leaders between May 8 and 16, 2026, across four districts of Nagaland.
Meluri, Tseminyu, Wokha, and Zunheboto were the four districts of the state which formed the focal point for the program. The workshops were designed for a push to the development of women entrepreneurial leadership in Nagaland.
The training sessions focused on capacity building, good governance practices, and sustainability of businesses for women entrepreneurs and leaders at the district level.
Key Highlights:
- Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland and Small Industries Development Bank of India held workshops in four Nagaland districts
- Sessions covered discussions on compliance, Udyam registration, and financial management
- Women entrepreneurs engaged in business governance and growth discussions
Among the topics discussed in the workshop included trade license procedures, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Certification process, and Udyam registration to assist entrepreneurs in formalizing their ventures.
Other issues that were discussed included financial management techniques, capacity development programs, and other government schemes that can assist MSMEs and women-owned enterprises.
In line with efforts to transition from informal to formalized business structures, the program was instrumental in enabling women entrepreneurs to manoeuvre the regulatory framework and acquire the necessary tools for formalization.
Women entrepreneurs from all the four districts actively participated in the workshop discussing challenges related to business governance, compliance, and enterprise development. Recognizing the importance of fruitful business practices, the training sessions were informative enough to give participants useful information about the same.
Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) is a non-profit organization that helps and empowers women entrepreneurs in Nagaland. Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is the apex body established for promoting and developing the MSME sector.
