Uno Minda Appoints Amrita Singh as Head of Human Resources

Uno Minda has elevated senior HR leader Amrita Singh as Head of Human Resources, further strengthening the company's emphasis on people development, capability building, and organisation growth across the mobility group.

The company announced the appointment as part of its larger efforts toward strengthening its workforce strategy in the face of technological shifts and increasing competition in the mobility sector.

Amrita's elevation is a reflection of her enlarged role inside the organization, backed by over two decades of experience in HR with global IT, manufacturing, textiles, infrastructure, and mobility industries.

Prior to this role, she was the Head of HR – Infotainment (JV) at Uno Minda. During this tenure, she contributed toward establishing the HR governance framework, capability-building initiatives, and alignment of people practices with the long-term objectives of the company.

The organization remarked that she has assisted in strengthening HR systems and oriented the business toward future growth.

Amrita’s previous HR experience includes a series of executive-level positions at IT By Design, Genpact, Arvind Limited, Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited and the GMR Group.

She has been instrumental in balancing a wide variety of workforce needs while also participating in many different transformation efforts. She holds the SHRM-SCP credential and received an Executive Programme in Strategic HRM from IIM Ahmedabad.

In her new role at Uno Minda, Amrita will lead the HR strategy for Uno Minda with an emphasis on talent development, leadership development and creating a talent pool for the further expansion in other segments in the mobility market.

Amrita's new position will put her right in the middle of efforts to connect talent capability to the purpose and objectives of the organization.

Her appointment reflects Uno Minda's desire to grow internal leadership and identify talent for the necessary skills required in the rapidly changing technological context of the industry all while capitalizing on growth opportunities.
