Uma Reddy Becomes First Woman President of 108-Year-Old FKCCI
On September 27, 2025, Uma Reddy acquired the position of president at Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), becoming the first woman to take such a post in the 108 years history of the organisation.
In a statement, the chamber said, “Since its founding by Sir M Visvesvaraya in 1916, FKCCI has been traditionally led by men. This is a landmark achievement.”
IMC Ladies' Wing Hosts 38th Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition
In a historic event for Hyderabad, IMC Ladies' Wing hosted the 38th Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition, which took place at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre.
The two-day exhibition happened on 27—28 September, and saw women entrepreneurs from all over India showcasing various products in fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, and design.

Women Perform Sindur Khela Marking End of Durga Puja Across India
As the final chants of Durga Puja filled pandals across the country on Thursday, October 2, 2025, women in red-bordered white sarees gathered with plates of vermilion to perform a ritual as old as memory, Sindur Khela, making the culmination filled with devotion, color, and evolving meanings.
