IMC Ladies' Wing Hosts 38th Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition

  • IMC Ladies' Wing organized the 38th Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition in Hyderabad for the first time

  • The two-day exhibition featured women entrepreneurs from all over India

In a historic event for Hyderabad, IMC Ladies' Wing hosted the 38th Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition, which took place at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre.

The two-day exhibition happened on 27—28 September, and saw women entrepreneurs from all over India showcasing various products in fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, and design.

The Chief Guest Brahmani Nara, Executive Director of Heritage Foods Ltd., welcomed the exhibition, appreciated the ladies for encouraging business in women and conversing and innovation.

The Guest of Honour, Swapna Dutt Chalasani, film producer and co-founder of Swapna Cinema, graced the evening and talked about her inspiring journey in cinema.

This year's theme, decor inspired by the Tree of Life, represented strength, resilience, courage, and imagination of women. Based on Raja Ravi Varma's work, the theme was inspired by women who lead, care, and change, which is one of the themes empowering women entrepreneurs for the exhibition.

Rajyalakshmi Rao, the President of IMC Ladies’ Wing, talked about her theme for her presidency, “Evolve to Excel,” which calls for continuous growth, learning, and adapting.

She told everyone that the exhibition started in Mumbai almost 40 years ago and has developed into a celebration of innovation, spirit, and vision displayed by Indian women entrepreneurs.

The exhibition has over 100 curated stalls and a very lively atmosphere displaying all varieties of works of entrepreneurs’, traditionally in craft-making, to the very contemporary.

The response from guests was overwhelming and reflected the IMC Ladies’ Wing goal of developing opportunities for women in the space of Entrepreneurs’ Development.

The Hyderabad edition of the IMC Women Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition was an effort to create an environment of creativity, business, and inspiration that would allow for future events, and envision more economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the future across India.
