Women-led Ventures in India Raised $930 million in 2024, finds New Report
There has been a rise in the number of women entrepreneurs in the Indian startup ecosystem over the past few years. VCs have begun showing more interest in women-led ventures and as a consequence in 2024, funding in female-led startups saw a rise by more than 90 percent.
Congress Announces Monthly 2.5K Aid to Delhi Women if Voted to Power
The Congress party has announced the Pyari Didi Yojana, offering monthly assistance of Rs 2,500 to women in Delhi if they win the upcoming assembly elections. This initiative, modeled after similar schemes in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, aims to counter the Aam Aadmi Party's Mahila Samman Yojana, which promises Rs 2,100 per month to women voters.
Spinny's Customer Base includes 26% Women Buyers, Report
According to the yearly report released by Spinny, a leading Indian full-stack used car platform reported a 3 per cent increase in first-time buyers of used cars in 2024, climbing to 76 per cent of customers from 73 per cent recorded in 2023. The report also mentions that 26 per cent of the customer base is women reflecting to consistent increase from previous years.
Bengaluru Industries Top Inclusivity Index for Women in India: Avtar Report
According to the Top Cities for Women in India (TCWI) index by Avtar Group, Bengaluru's industries were the most inclusive towards women in 2024. Bengaluru had the highest Industrial Inclusion Score (IIS) of 81.33 in the country, indicating the city's commitment to promoting women's inclusion in its various industries.
Erin Lynch chosen as New CEO for Japanese Insurance Company, CAC Group
In a recent announcement, CAC Group has revealed about the appointment of Erin Lynch, the CAC Specialty's Natural Resources Practice’s President into the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group in first quarter of 2025. In addition, CAC Group is a leading insurance brokerage with CAC Specialty and CAC Agency comprised.
