Rimjhim Roy Named VP Strategy at Ogilvy

Rimjhim Roy has recently been appointed as Vice President, Strategy at Ogilvy. Since its establishment by David Ogilvy 75 years ago, the company has been generating results for brands by unleashing powerful, culturally relevant and value-adding ideas.
In this position, she will be responsible for leading strategy in the Coke Nutrition portfolio, as well as executing key strategic plans for the creative hub of bp.
Rimjhim has a strong background in brand planning and strategic leadership, having worked for almost 10 years in the Asia-Pacific region. She has worked in several industries including healthcare, technology, FMCG, and fashion.

Previously, she was with Edelman which is a worldwide communications company that collaborates with businesses and organizations to change, market and secure their brands and reputations. Rimjhim has also held dual roles as lead healthcare planner for APAC and lead planner for their Malaysian operation.
She was guiding strategic campaigns of healthcare products for Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Novartis, and Novo Nordisk and supported new product introductions throughout the region.
Amongst other, her work for Starbucks, Unilever, Diageo and Tencent Games involved earned as well as integrated campaigns, while Tune Talk and Amgen were the ones whose brand were relaunched with her help in the latter.
Earlier Rimjhim was a part of 82.5 Communications and DDB Mudra Group where she was very instrumental in the creation of the award-winning campaigns such as Bisleri's “Samajhdar Bisleri Peete Hain” and the campaigns for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and RC Whisky, namely, “We Are Challengers”.
In 2017, Rimjhim finished her education with a degree in advertising strategy from MICA Ahmedabad, with an academic honour. Moreover, she has done Young India Fellowship (Diploma in Liberal Studies and Leadership) from Ashoka University and BA (Hons.) In History from Lady Shri Ram College For Women.
Besides, she also holds licences and certifications like The Ogilvy course on Behavioral Economics from Ogilvy Consulting and Facebook Certified Creative Strategy Professional from Facebook Blueprint. In 2013, she has even volunteered for Child Development Program, NSS-LSR as a Tutor for a year.
Additionally, Rimjhim writes, “I believe my work should help shape behaviour and build value. Whether designing new brand architectures, mapping digital ecosystems, or crafting thought-leadership narratives, I aim to make brands clearer, braver, and more effective. Alongside this, I’ve specialised in leading multi-market teams in healthcare strategy for clients including Mylan, Roche, J&J, Novartis, Boston Scientific, Amgen, and Novo Nordisk, driving market-shaping and patient-centric communication across Asia-Pacific. My healthcare work spans policy storytelling, brand transformation, and B2B engagement, helping organizations connect science, purpose, and public trust.”
Being skilled in corporate branding, global campaign management, insight development and so on, Rimjhim has been a Finalist at Effies 2020, Runners Up, FCB Ulka Comstrat 2016 and National Finalist, Wats Your Big Idea, WAT Consult.
