The TATA Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025, set to begin on February 14, 2025, features five teams, including the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, and UP Warriorz. The tournament will take place in four venues across Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai.

As the third season of the exhilarating tournament gears up to kick off next week, team UP Warriorz has appointed Chinelle Henry as a replacement for Alyssa Healy in the TATA Women's Premier League 2025 due to an injury. Chinelle who represents West Indies Women's team joins UPW for INR 30 lakh. She has played 62 T20Is so far in her career.

On her injury, Alyssa mentioned "Unfortunately for me, I have got a couple of months of feet up. I am pretty bummed by that, but at the same time elated to have a little bit of downtime and try and get my body right."

On the other hand, team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who secured the TATA WPL 2024 title last year have replaced Sophie Devine for Heather Graham and Kate Cross for Kim Garth due to personal reasons. Both the players, Heather and Kim join RCB for INR 30 lakh respectively.

Sophie Devine was a key player of RCB who scored 136 runs and took six wickets in 10 matches in WPL 2024. She decided to take a break from cricket to prioritize her mental health as suggested by professionals. Supporting her decision, Liz Green, NZC's Head of Women's High Performance Development said "Player well-being is paramount to us - it takes precedence over everything else."

Meanwhile, England's all-rounder, Kate Cross is suffering a back injury.
