Maya Bou Ajram Named CSO at Publicis Media Middle East

- Maya Bou Ajram takes the role of Chief Strategy Officer at Publicis Media Middle East to head Strategy and Growth for the region.
- Coming from two major media agencies, she managed and lead teams at UM MENAT and OMD UAE.
- She is a highly recognized leader in the industry, having been selected for Communicate's 40 Under 40 and 2025 Women to Watch.
Maya Bou Ajram has been named Chief Strategy Officer at Publicis Media Middle East, the company revealed.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Maya will be in charge of steering the network's strategy throughout the Middle East, with a strong emphasis on client development, cross-channel planning, and business transformation projects.
Maya was a member of Publicis Media Middle East for over six years before moving to UM MENAT where she was the General Manager for the UAE. Earlier, Maya was the agency's Deputy General Manager.
“Her depth of experience, client-first mindset, and proven ability to lead high-performing teams make her the ideal person to drive our strategy agenda forward. We look forward to the impact she will bring to our clients and our people,” CEO of Publicis Media Middle East Tony Wazen said while commenting on the appointment.
Maya has more than two decades of work experience in media and communication industries' advertising business in the Middle East. Prior to participating in UM MENAT, she dedicated more than 10 years to OMD UAE where she held a number of senior leadership positions such as Business Unit Director, LVMH Senior Planning Media Director, and Levant Group Planning Media Director.
While she was with OMD UAE, she was involved in the preparation of strategic media plans for the sectors of luxury, fast-moving consumer goods, and retail, and also took the lead in business development and talent management initiatives in the regional markets.
She started her work at OMD UAE as a Media Planner where she was responsible for managing PepsiCo and Kellogg's accounts throughout the GCC region. The advertising industry really does have a thing for a full-circle story. You start with cola brands and eventually, you are the one that is deciding the regional strategy. It's a career trajectory that people just can't resist.
Maya is also one of the industry personalities who made it to various lists such as Communicate's 40 Under 40 and the 2025 Women to Watch honours.
