PepsiCo India has launched RevolutioNari – A Revolution for the Nari, a program aiming to empower 1 million women nationwide. The initiative aims to build awareness, provide upskilling opportunities, and improve livelihood prospects in unconventional roles like sales, manufacturing, and agriculture. It will provide hands-on knowledge, mentorship, resources, and guidance and encourage women to delve into the area of entrepreneurship. The program focuses on enhancing employability, economic independence, entrepreneurship, health awareness, and nutrition education.
PepsiCo India collaborates with various organizations and NGOs to implement the program effectively, contributing to gender equality, economic growth, and social progress. RevolutioNari aligns with PepsiCo India's pep+ philosophy, focusing on Positive Agriculture and Positive Value Chain to improve livelihoods, empower women, enhance employability, provide education, and vocational training, and advance the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda. This initiative driven by PepsiCo India intends to address the gender gap in India's workforce and recognize the missed potential of women in the country.
The RevolutioNari campaign will target undergraduate women in various disciplines, underprivileged women, and senior secondary school students across 100 cities in India. The initiative is partnering with Nirmaan Organization, The Social Lab Foundation, and Internshala to reach the community. The campaign aims to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2026.
