- MakeMyTrip empowers women with smarter, safer travel and stay choices using the latest technology
- Amenities and female-only bus seats enhance reassurance on trips, focusing on comfort and familiarity
- Insights show women engage deeply with reviews, maps, and photos
MakeMyTrip fortifies its travel marketplace with smarter technology and community content with the purpose to drive women travellers to make confident choices. Insights on the platform have proven that women would engage more while in their decision phase, spending more time on reviews, maps, street views, and real guest photos before making a choice.
Women book earlier, lean more toward premium and branded stays, and increasingly rely on trusted properties outside Tier 1 cities. For intercity travel, solo women also prefer seating next to fellow women, prioritising comfort and familiarity.
Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO, MakeMyTrip, said, “Women are already careful in planning their travel. The usage patterns indicate how thoughtfully they evaluate both stays and travel routes. We are trying to make this trip planning process easier for them leveraging our rich data and AI so that they can take informed decisions.
The platform enhances safety signals for women travellers, highlighting women’s ratings, AI-led insights on location and service, and clear markers for security-focused amenities. Same though process flows to bus travel, as intercity bus bookings now offer added reassurance. Women’s reviews are filtered and sentiment-tagged across key concerns, and selecting one side of a double berth ensures the neighbouring seat is reserved for a woman.
MakeMyTrip combines AI insights and partner data, where AI studies reviews to understand travel choices, while partner data highlights safety measures, amenities, and services.
