  • AbhiBus launched bookings for YoloBus’s women-only service between Gurgaon and Chandigarh.
  • The service focuses on empowering and ensuring safety for female travelers.

On 7th March 2025, AbhiBus (ixigo bus business), India’s leading bus ticketing platform, announced bookings for India’s first women-only intercity bus service, launched by YoloBus in Mumbai. The service, exclusive for women, will operate on the Gurgaon-Chandigarh route starting 8th March. Launching on International Women’s Day, YoloBus aims to offer a safer, more convenient travel experience for female passengers. The buses will feature a female conductor onboard to provide added assistance and comfort, ensuring a secure environment for female travelers.

Speaking on this, Rohit Sharma, COO of AbhiBus, added, "At AbhiBus, we are committed to making bus travel safer and more convenient for women. Over the last three months, we have seen a 54% YoY increase in bookings by female travellers, with solo female traveller bookings up by 50% YoY. The launch of the women-only YoloBus service aligns with our ongoing efforts to empower female travellers, including our Pink Seat feature, which reserves dedicated seats for women across multiple routes.”

“The safety and comfort of women travellers have always been our priority. Launching this service on Women’s Day is our way of celebrating and empowering female travellers with a more secure and reliable intercity travel option. Through AbhiBus, women can easily access this service and book their journeys seamlessly on the platform. We believe this initiative will set a new benchmark in intercity travel.” Stated Sanjay Jadoun, CEO of YoloBus.
