LWL Hosts Women Leaders Meets in Mumbai, Bengaluru

In continuation of its ongoing initiative of bringing together women leaders, Ladies Who Lead (LWL) also held curated invites-only events in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

The meetups featured professionals from the domains of business, entrepreneurs, and creative. In these events, LWL emphasised peer learning, meaningful discussions, and community building within curated environments.

In Mumbai, LWL conducted an invite-only evening in collaboration with HSBC. This was accompanied by a jewellery presentation by House of Yarane, which took place in Fielia, a cocktail cinema bar conceptualised by Gauri Khan.

Leaders who attended this event include Deepthi Sirvuri, Head – Credit Cards and Retail Lending, HSBC; Almona Bhatia, Chief Strategy Officer, Tata CLiQ Luxury; Gauri Devidayal, Co-founder, Food Matters; Darshana Shah, Chief Marketing Officer, Aditya Birla Capital; Naiyya Saggi, Founder, BabyChakra & Co-founder, The Good Glamm Group; and Neha Motwani, Founder & CEO, Luma Fertility.

The Mumbai meetups also consisted of some closed-door sessions like a mentor discussion with Pallavi Mohadikar and Dr. Amol Patwari, co-founders, Palmonas; a “Lessons in Excellence” discussion with Ronnie Screwvala; and an earlier mentor discussion with Aparna Saxena, Founder and CEO, Antinorm, on building and scaling consumer brands.

In regard to the initiative, Aabha Bakaya, who is the founder of Ladies Who Lead, stated that the aim was to facilitate meaningful discussions through carefully curated and valuable interactions for women leaders.

In Bengaluru, Ladies Who Lead conducted some curated events, including a discussion held over cocktails during International Women’s Day with Bhakti Modi, Co-founder and CEO of Tira, and Kulsum Shadab Wahab, Founder of Ara Lumiere and Ara Pret. In addition to that, there was a "From Farm to Table" event held at Farmlore, a sustainable dining destination.

With the theme of "Give to Gain," Ladies Who Lead organized an event in Bengaluru that attracted various participants like Savitha Nanjappa, founder of Success With Savitha; Varna Bhat, Founder and CEO of Blisswater Industries Pvt Ltd; Rashmi Attavar, Joint Managing Director at Indo American Hybrid Seeds (India) Pvt Ltd; Sreepriya N S, Co-founder and Director at Entrust Family Office; Nishita Thakurdas, Founder and Designer at Nishita Design; and Rashmi Somashekar, Partner at BSR & Co (KPMG).

Through such activities, Ladies Who Lead continues to provide an informal but structured setting for women professionals through which experience sharing and lasting professional relationships can be built across various industries.

Launched in 2021 by Aabha and Aditya, Ladies Who Lead is an invitation-only network dedicated to empowering women through leadership and networking. It comprises more than 1,500 women leaders from over 50 different industries in India.
