As part of its initiative to improve the skilling environment in India, L’Oreal India has launched its biggest Beauty Skilling Centre in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The inauguration of L’Oréal Beauty & Wellness Training Lab was held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushal Vikas Kendra, Mumbai by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry.
The program works under the theme of “Beauty for a Better Life” and aims at uplifting the status of women belonging to underprivileged sections of society through skill development programs. It aims at strengthening women-led livelihoods and industry-aligned skilling.
The program’s objective is to impart training and ensure job opportunities to 20,000 girls within a period of five years. With a total area of 4,267 square feet, this center has the capacity of skilling 3,000 people annually in hairdressing, make-up and beautician skills.
“India stands at the forefront of the future of beauty, powered by immense talent, creativity and aspiration. Through this skilling centre, we hope to expand access to high-quality professional education, equip underserved women with industry-relevant skills, and help nurture the next generation of beauty professionals and entrepreneurs who will shape the growth of India’s beauty economy.”, Jacques Lebel, Managing Director, L’Oréal India, added.
