Lighthouse Canton has strengthened its leadership team by appointing Shalini Thakur as Vice President – HR & Head – Talent Acquisition (Global – India, Middle East, UK). Based in Mumbai, she will spearhead global talent acquisition efforts for the investment institution and its AI-powered wealth-tech platform, Keenai Global. The appointment reflects the company’s focus on building a strong talent ecosystem as it expands its footprint across wealth management, asset management, and financial technology markets worldwide.

In her new position, Shalini will work closely with business leaders to shape talent strategies, develop leadership pipelines, and drive both lateral and campus recruitment programmes. Her role will be central to ensuring Lighthouse Canton attracts and retains high-quality talent while supporting the organisation’s ambitious global growth plans.
Thakur joins Lighthouse Canton with a distinguished career in talent acquisition and human resources leadership spanning multiple industries. Most recently, she served as Lead – Talent Acquisition (Manager) at CRISIL Limited, where she managed end-to-end recruitment across ratings and corporate functions. She also led a team of recruitment professionals and played a key role in strengthening the company’s hiring processes.
Before her tenure at CRISIL, Shalini spent more than three years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She progressed through various talent acquisition roles, ultimately serving as Associate (AVP) – Talent Acquisition (Technology). During this period, she supported technology recruitment initiatives and contributed to talent strategies within one of the world's leading financial institutions.
Her expertise extends beyond corporate hiring. Shalini previously worked as an Independent Talent Acquisition Consultant and served as a Consultant at Vito India Advisors. In these roles, she specialised in executive search and leadership hiring across sectors including financial services, consumer goods, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. This broad exposure has equipped her with deep insights into talent markets and leadership recruitment.
In addition to her diverse professional background, Thakur has entrepreneurial experience. She was Co-founder and Director of Healthpaedia Pvt. Ltd., a preventive healthcare management venture. Earlier in her career, she held leadership and business development positions at Purple Squirrel Eduventures, Godrej, NIIT IFBI, and i2i Consulting. These roles enabled her to develop expertise in talent development, stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, strategic partnerships, and business growth.
Academically, Shalini holds an Executive Development Programme in Human Resource Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a PGDM in Marketing from the New Delhi Institute of Management. Her combination of HR leadership, executive search expertise, and commercial acumen positions her well to contribute to Lighthouse Canton’s next phase of growth.
