Diageo India & TSL Foundation to train 200 Women in Hospitality Sector

Diageo India (United Spirits), the leading aclo-beverage company, has partnered with TSL Foundation to train 200 young women in the hospitality industry through its 'Learning for Life' program. The initiative aims to equip women with skills for employment in bars, restaurants, and hotels, promoting gender diversity and inclusion within the sector. The training center has been established in Bhondsi, Gurgaon, and aims to promote gender diversity and inclusion in the hospitality sector by offering comprehensive training in bartending, customer service, and beverage knowledge to women.
Diageo India is partnering with the Government of Haryana to launch a two-month training program aimed at upskilling and empowering young women. The program includes theory classes, on-the-job training, simulations, activity-based learning, projects, assessments, guest faculty lectures, and interview preparation sessions. After completion of the training, students will receive National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) or government certification.
Haryana State CSR Trust CEO Gaurav Singh plans to establish the Skill Development Centre for young women, offering essential skills for aspiring professionals, The center will offer training and placement support from industry leaders including Ramada and Radisson. Additionally, VP-CSR & Sustainability, Diageo India, Navdeep Mehram along with Director-TSL Foundation, Apoorva Sharma mentions that Diageo India is partnering with TSL Foundation to create a diverse workforce in the hospitality sector, empowering 200 young women with self-reliance skills. The initiative supports economic development and livelihood capabilities for under-represented communities.
