Mumbai-based pediatric behavioral health platform Butterfly Learnings has raised Rs 65 crore in a Pre-Series B funding round led by Inflexor Ventures.

The round also saw participation from existing investors, including Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund and IIMA Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds to expand its center network beyond Maharashtra and strengthen its technology and AI capabilities. It will also scale its Get SET Early autism screening solution through hospitals and pediatricians.

Butterfly Learnings will further invest in expanding its therapist training program to build a larger network of trained professionals and support its growing services.

Founded by Dr Sonam Kothari and Dr Abhishek Sen, Butterfly Learnings provides care for children with autism, ADHD and learning disabilities through clinical therapy, inclusive schooling, diagnostics, digital therapeutics and technology-enabled interventions.

The company has 90 centers in 22 cities of India. It also operates a training institute for therapists and trains according to the standards of behavioral healthcare.

Get SET Early is an eye-tracking based Autism screening technology, which has been licensed exclusively to Butterfly Learnings in the worldwide market. After CDSCO approval, the solution is able to filter children from 1-year-old.

The company is looking to further expand its footprint in India and forge alliances with hospitals and pediatricians.

Butterfly Learnings, founded in 2021, and raised USD 2 million in its Seed funding round from Insitor Partners, 9 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, Fondation Botnar, UTIL Stiftung, Enzia Ventures and CIIE.CO in 2022. The company operates as a comprehensive phygital platform, integrating digital and physical components to offer tailored support for children and families facing challenges related to neurodiversity. The company employs over 250 in-house trained therapists and is headquartered in Mumbai, with operations extending to urban areas such as Pune, Nagpur and Nasik.

The platform's core offerings include individualized therapy regimens based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), consultations with skilled pediatric neurologists or developmental pediatricians and additional therapies such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, oral placement therapy and sensory integration.

Butterfly is one of the few chains in the country where pediatricians, neurologists, ABA, speech and OT therapists come together on one platform to design, deliver and monitor a therapy program for the child, thus ensuring better outcomes. This is also evident in its customer satisfaction - the average therapy time is 12 months, with more than 50 per cent of kids successfully discharged from therapy and integrated into regular schools.
