SAP Appoints Shweta Mohanty as Global HR Head

SAP has elevated Shweta Mohanty to Senior Vice President and Global Head of Business Partnering – Corporate Functions, strengthening its global human resources leadership. The appointment marks a major milestone in her nearly 11-year tenure with the company and builds on more than 25 years of experience across HR, talent strategy, organizational development, transformation and leadership development.
Before assuming the new role, Shweta served as Head of People & Culture for SAP in India from April 2022. She previously worked as Vice President and Global HR Business Partner for Enterprise Cloud Services and SAP Labs Network, where she led talent initiatives and supported SAP’s global network of major research and development centers.
Shweta joined SAP in 2015 as Director of Human Resources and went on to hold several HR leadership roles within the company. Over the years, she has contributed to global talent and employee development initiatives, including early-career programs, continuous learning opportunities and stretch assignments for emerging talent.

Before SAP, Shweta spent nearly eight years with Microsoft India Development Center in Bengaluru. She was Senior Human Resources Manager & Lead – India Development Center, Bangalore for HR in the R&D organization and was responsible for supporting talent strategy, organizational development, leadership development and organizational change. She has also worked extensively in human resources for the Microsoft-Yahoo Alliance in India assisting with the transition and integration of the employees and previously handled HR for Microsoft Research Lab India.
Shweta started her career with Wipro Technologies and held various leadership positions in HR and strategic resourcing for over 6 years with the company. She was the Senior HR Manager – Telecom Engineering Solutions and was responsible for HR matters regarding a business unit with about 2500 employees across various functions in HR such as Performance Management, Succession Planning, Rewards and Recognition, Organization Development and Employee Engagement. Her journey from Wipro to Microsoft, and then to SAP brings her rich experience working in large technology and R&D organizations and prepares her for the expanded global leadership role at SAP.
