20 Women Honoured at Nari Samman Samaroh in Karnal

At the Nari Samman Samaroh held at Dr. Mangalsen Auditorium on Monday, the Bharat Vikas Parishad of Karnal honored 20 women from various fields for their contributions to the development of society.

The honoring of these women took place in the presence of Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, who presented awards to each of them personally.

While speaking to members of the media who were present, the Governor commented on this initiative as one where women who contributed strongly in both areas of societal development as well as family development were being celebrated.

He indicated there was a link between societal growth and women's growth and the need for society to meet the goals and desires of women.

He also drew attention to the importance of Prime Minister Modi's emphasis on women's development in all areas of Indian society and encouraged the Bharat Vikas Parishad to have a presence within the communities that surround the area.

According to Jagmohan Anand, the Karnal MLA, the Bharat Vikas Parishad represents the concept of giving back to one's fellow man.

He indicated how there are multiple ways through which society creates opportunities for individuals to become engaged such as within the area of politics, business, and reform; however, the Bharat Vikas Parishad seeks to motivate people to engage with their community through work.

Women honored at the function included Aditi Sharma, Neelu Saini, Richa Chawla, Dr. Sujata Sharma, Ayeshna Kalyan, Anju Chaudhary, Rishika Kukreja Arora, Neelam Madan, Vibha Chugh, Dr. Neha Khanduja, Roni Raman, Tulika Garg, Dr. Ashima Gakhar, Sanjoli Banerjee, Deeksha Goel, Kirti Gupta, Shashi Arya, Dr. Ekta Arora, Anita Singh, and Kavita.

Some of the prominent people present at the function included Haryana’s First Lady Mitra Ghosh, BJP district president Parveen Lathar, Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment Vice President and Chairperson Megha Bhandari, Haryana Staff Selection Commission Member Kapil Atreja, OPS Vidya Mandir Director Isha Bansal, and Akhil Bharatiya Kashyap Rajput Punjabi Welfare Association President Anup Bhardwaj.
