Zinc Football Academy Wins Rajasthan Women's League

The inaugural Rajasthan Senior Women Football League, which was held at the Rajasthan United Football Club ground in Jaipur under the patronage of Rajasthan Football Association, was attended by a huge crowd here on Saturday.
The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Roshni Tak, Chairperson, Women’s Wing, Rajasthan Football Association, Lal Singh Sankhla, President, Jalore Olympic Association, Hariram Bishnoi, Secretary, District Football Association, Jalore and Surendra Singh Balot, Madan Singh Rathore, football coach.
The Rajasthan Football Association (RFA) secretary Dilip Singh Shekhawat said five teams represented the state in the league, which kicked off on May 19. The final day of the league was to be the only day that saw two matches.
The first match was between Royal Football Club Jaipur and Jaipur City Football Club which were played at 7 am. Both sides have played well in the match and it was a 4-4 draw.
Zinc Football Academy had a second game at 4 pm against Real Jaipur FC. Zinc Football Academy was outstanding in this game, taking on a one-sided 8-0 win. Zinc Football Academy gained 21 points with this win, having attracted 7 points from 8 games, while Magan Singh Football Academy secured 19 points as they were runner-up. Unbeaten Zinc Football Academy clinched the title of First Rajasthan Senior Women’s Football League.
For the individual awards Dangi Marandi (Zinc Football Academy) was adjudged as the Best Scorer with 7 goals, Manju as the Emerging Player of the Tournament, Tamanna as the Best Defender, Hansa as the Best Midfielder and Sonam Ghosh as the Best Goalkeeper.

At the time of closing ceremony, the winner Zinc Football Academy and the runner up Magan Singh Rajvi Football Academy Bikaner were honoured by the guests who presented Trophies and individual prizes to them.
Satish Jangid (Technical Director), Amar Singh (Match Commissioner), Avakash Dayama, Javed Khan, Ankit Sharma and Pawan Kumar (Match Referees) were all instrumental in the successful conduct of the competition.

Established in 2017, Zinc Football Academy, part of the Vedanta Zinc Football and Sports Foundation, is a social initiative of Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) and has been a game-changer in nurturing grassroots football talent from rural India. Based in Zawar, the AIFF-accredited 3-star academy has trained over 5,000 young footballers since its inception.
The institution is also home to India's largest residential football academy for girls, offering a premier training environment dedicated to excellence. Beyond the pitch, the academy champions a holistic approach to growth, integrating elite athletic coaching with rigorous academic support and comprehensive personality development programs.
With a sharp focus on excellence and holistic development, the academy has consistently produced promising players for the national stage. Notable players like Mohammed Kaif, Prem Hansdak, Sahil Poonia, and Rajrup Sarkar have already donned the Indian jersey, making their mark in international football.
