Workshop on Women's Safety in the Workplace organized by FICCI in partnership with S.S Rana & Co.

On May 11, 2023, at the FICCI in New Delhi, the FICCI hosted a workshop on women's safety at the workplace in association with S.S. Rana & Co. The Workshop covered a number of key topics that includes understanding the POSH Act, sexual harassment in the workplace awareness, acts that are actionable under the POSH Act, compliances and fines, and also the mock trials.
The statistics show the level of seriousness of the problem of sexual harassment in the workplace and how companies should take preventive measures to stop it in order to assure the highest level of workplace safety. The workshop has aim to raise awareness among the guests, including ICC Members, administrative heads, HR professionals, and heads of safety and security which is focused on the POSH Act's complaint procedures, employer compliances, penal consequences, and complaint redressal methods.
The Immediate Past President of the FICCI Ladies Organisation and an Advisor for Dalmia Brothers Private Limited, Jayanti Dalmia gave a welcoming speech to start the event. Following that, Vikrant Rana, the managing partner at S.S. Rana & Co., presented an engaging presentation on women's safety at work in which he discussed the lack of knowledge of POSH Law and its effects. Anuradha Gandhi, Consultant (D&I and POSH), Managing Associate at S.S. Rana & Co., provided a presentation on "Theory and Background of the POSH Act, 2013.
