A two-day workshop to be held for women entrepreneurs on 19-20 May 2023 by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) which collaborated with Startup India, a Government of India program to create a strong ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Participants will be provided with access to a virtual pitching training session before the workshop starts.
Significant steps have been taken toward women’s empowerment by the UT government and the Union government. During the G20 Presidency, India imposed the inclusion of gender issues as a primary agenda. Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi stated that We need to maintain priority on women-led advancement even in our G-20 agenda.
The workshop which will go for two days will include several activities that will be held all over the nation to support and give a platform to the female entrepreneurs. The event will help in resource organization and build up the participation of females so that they realize their full potential. Such events and workshops catalyze women's social and economic growth.
The workshop is available for aspiring female entrepreneurs and businesses with at least one female founder that have been approved by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
