Women's Asia Cup 2022: IndiaBeat Malaysia By 30 Runs To Win their Second Match

Team India kept up their winning streak as they defeated team Malaysia by 30 runs via the DLS method in a rain-affected 20-20 Women’s Asia Cup match. Malaysia had batted for 5.2 overs in the 2nd innings when rain interrupted the match. the result was decided in favour of India owing to the DLS method.
Indian opener Sabbhineni Meghana played her maiden T20I half-century. additionally, Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh contributed considerably to bring India to 181/4 against Malaysia in the first innings.
Indian openers Meghana and Shafali scored 116 runs between them for the first wicket in 13.5 overs. Meghana was declared out in the 14th over after hitting 69 runs off 53 balls. Shafali scored 46 runs off 39 balls and was dismissed in the 19th over. KP Navgire who came in to bat at no 3 was dismissed for a zero and Richa Ghosh finished her innings with 33 runs off 19 balls.
Malaysian captain Winifred Duraisingam and Nur Dania Syuhada tooktwo wickets each.
The second innings with Malaysia on the crease was off to a rough start. The team lost captain Winifred for a duck in the first over. Rajeshwari Gayakwad dismissed opener Wan Julia (1) in the 4th over. Malaysian team had managed to reach 16/2 in 5.2 overs, before rain finished the match.
According to the DLS rule, Malaysia wereshort by 30 runs, and lost the match to Team India. Sabbhineni Meghana was chosen as the 'Player of the Match' for her strong knock with the bat.
