Wenjun Ju has emerged as the champion of the Tata Steel Chess India 2023 Women's Blitz competition after a closely contested event. With 12.5/18 points, Ju Ju Wenjun secured victory in this prestigious chess tournament.

The competition was fiercely competitive, and the final round played a pivotal role in determining the winners. In this crucial round, Wenjun Ju managed to defeat GM Anna Ushenina, further solidifying her claim to the title.

Humpy Koneru, another prominent chess player, finished in the second position with a total of 12/18 points. Harika Dronavalli secured the third spot with 10.5/18 points, showcasing the high level of competition among these exceptional players.

It's worth noting that the Blitz event was closely followed by IM Divya Deshmukh, the winner of the Rapid event, who also scored 10.5/18 points. Her impressive performance highlighted her skill and determination in this challenging chess competition.

Wenjun Ju's victory is her remarkable comeback in the final six games of the tournament. Starting with only 0.5/3 on the final day, she displayed incredible resilience and skill by winning 5.5 out of the last 6 games. This late surge allowed her to secure the title convincingly.
