Vishwa Mangalya Sabha will organize its North India Prabodhan (awareness) meeting in New Delhi on July 23–24, bringing together nearly 280 women delegates from across northern India. One of the highlights of the event will be the special lecture and interactive dialogue by the Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, on the topic of "Motherhood" for the first time in the centenary year of RSS.
In a statement to the media, Vishwa Mangalya Sabha National Organizing Secretary Vrishali Joshi, said that for the first time ever, Dr. Bhagwat has chosen to address a dedicated lecture to the enlightened women of the nation and participate in discussions around the value of motherhood. An identical event will be organized at Sevalal Banjara Bhavan, Hyderabad for the South Indian participants as well.
The North India awareness meeting will be held at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and the Hyderabad meeting will cater to the delegates from southern states who are women.
The Delhi meeting will be attended by about 280 women delegates from all over North India. The participants will hail from Jammu, Baramulla, Anantnag, Leh-Ladakh, and remote areas of West Bengal, Awadh, Malwa, Bihar, Odisha, Himachal and other parts of the country, covering the extensive outreach of the organization.
A Volunteers' meeting will be followed by an awareness session with Dr. Mohan Bhagwat by Vishwa Yuvak Kendra on the morning of July 24. Later, on the same night at 5:00 PM, a special interactive program titled "Discourse on Motherhood" will be organized at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre on Janpath, New Delhi. It will start with a high tea and lasts for about 2-2.5 hours (whereby it will contain an interactive question and answer session).
Key Highlights
- First-ever motherhood dialogue by RSS chief with women leaders
- Nearly 280 North India delegates to attend Delhi awareness meeting
- Special interactive session marks RSS centenary year celebrations nationwide
For the first time in the history of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the incumbent Sarsanghchalak will engage in a detailed dialogue with the enlightened women of the country during the program, under the guidance of all Sarsanghchalaks of RSS.
The organisation anticipates that around 700 women will participate in the evening session at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, and almost 1,300 delegates will be present at the Hyderabad program. Media has been invited to cover the event in Delhi and there will be a dedicated photo opportunity at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra during the final session with Dr. Bhagwat at 9.30 AM on July 24. After the meeting the organisation will publish its annual action plan and major result with the media.
Joshi noted the work that Vishwa Mangalya Sabha had done in the past 16 years to promote women empowerment, family values and to create social awakening. The motto of the organization is "Na Matuh Param Daivatam" (There is no God greater than the mother) and it is led by Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Ji Maharaj and guided by Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. She said that Vishwa Mangalya Sabha is a woman centric organisation and is not affiliated to RSS and is dedicated to the cause of positive social and cultural change among women.
The organisation is active in 33 provinces of India, Joshi said. It recently organised women conventions in 23 provinces affecting almost 700,000 women in Delhi. These interactions have led the organisation to focus on the issue of "Contemporary Motherhood" (Yuganukul Matrutva) as the main thrust for future campaigns to reinforce the role of women in society and family life.
