IDFC FIRST Bank Appoints Rajani Menon Pillai as EPMO Head

IDFC FIRST Bank has appointed Rajani Menon Pillai as Head – Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). She will lead enterprise governance programs, increase execution excellence, improve cross-functional project delivery and ensure alignment of strategic transformation programs with the bank's long-term business goals in this leadership position.

Before joining IDFC FIRST Bank, Rajani worked as the Head – IT PMO at Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, where she led in setting up the IT Project Management Office, standardizing project management processes, developing governance frameworks, and keeping technology initiatives in line with business goals.

Previously, she worked for over five years at RBL Bank in various leadership positions such as Vice President and Deputy Vice President – Program Office – Projects & Processes. She led enterprise program governance, project execution, process transformation, portfolio management and governance initiatives supporting large scale business and technology transformation throughout the bank whilst on her journey.

Prior to RBL Bank, Rajani served with Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank as the PMO – IT, handling enterprise project governance, enterprise program management frameworks, key performance metrics, and strategic initiatives across enterprise IT in support of the bank's digital transformation journey.

She additionally held more than seven years of Project Manager Position at J.P. Morgan on complex Business Application Integration projects, Release Quality Management, Stakeholder Engagement, SDLC Governance, Process Improvement, Business Analysis, Workflow Automation, End User Enablement and Enterprise Training programs. Previously she served as an Analyst with Datamatics Financial Services Limited, providing support for derivatives and financial market operations at global exchanges and also started her banking career with J.P. Morgan in credit and interest rate products in global operations.

Rajani has extensive experience in enterprise PMO, leadership, governance, technology transformation, stakeholder management and enterprise strategic execution across the banking, financial services, enterprise program management, IT governance and project management domains spanning 20+ years. The appointment underscores IDFC FIRST Bank's commitment of continuing to enhance enterprise transformation capabilities and drive its digital-first growth trajectory.
