Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia praised the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Women's League 2025, calling it a "golden moment" in the state's history. He emphasized the league's significance as a symbol of women's empowerment, providing a platform for local talent to showcase their skills on a national stage.
The inaugural edition of the Madhya Pradesh Women's League 2025 started on Thursday at the Srimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. The tournament, featuring three teams, Bundelkhand Bulls Women, Bhopal Wolves Women, and Chambal Ghariyals Women, aims to nurture local talent and promote women's sports participation in the state.
Despite an exciting start between the Bundelkhand Bulls Women and Bhopal Wolves Women, the match was interrupted due to rain. Bundelkhand Bulls posted 109/8 innings, with Priyanka Koushal leading the charge, taking a 4-wicket haul. Bhopal Wolves reached 25/1 before rain forced the game. The rescheduled match between Bundelkhand Bulls Women and Bhopal Wolves Women will be announced soon.
The matches between Bundelkhand Bulls Women and Chambal Ghariyals Women are scheduled on June 20, Friday, followed by a match between Chambal Ghariyals Women and Bhopal Wolves Women to be hosted on June 21, Saturday. The final is scheduled on June 24, where the top two teams will compete for the inaugural title.
