Union Bank of India Hosts 'Women Achievers Awards' 2.0 to Celebrate Women Leaders in Business

Union Bank of India hosted the second edition of the Women Achievers Awards 2.0 on April 28 in Mumbai, with Senco Gold and Diamonds and Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance as partners. Conceptualized by Secret Sauce Communications, the event recognized the success of women leaders who lead innovation and entrepreneurship in diverse sectors.
With nominations from across the country, the awards recognized women who broke barriers and made a difference through their entrepreneurial efforts. Noted jury members Roma Balwani (Co-founder, RB Foundation) and Anjana Ghosh (MD, Scale Sherpas) guided the process with a keen eye on entrepreneurialism, innovation, and social contribution.
The session included fireside sessions and panel discussions with renowned speakers like Kalpana Ajayan (Regional Head, Women's World Banking), Dr. Swati Lodha (Director, MET Institute), and cultural personalities like Padmashri Diana Edulji, Padmashri Dr. Mukesh Batra, actresses Pooja Bedi, Divya Dutta, Tillotama Shome, and author Neelam Kumar. Topics ranged from leadership and wellness to money freedom and personal growth.
A special session, "Staying Happy After 60," had Diana Edulji, Roma Balwani, and Dr. Mukesh Batra, who shared their opinions on happiness and satisfaction in the later years. Partners played a crucial role in supporting the initiative. Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance highlighted the importance of wellness in bringing long-term success, and Mirror, being the wellness partner, addressed women's health during menopause through its professional solutions.
Strategic and community partners included Aspire for Her, Lean In Mumbai Network, WEE (Women Entrepreneurs Enclave), and COWE (Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs). The conference reaffirmed the requirement for resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth and reinforced all concerned parties' dedication to enabling women in professional as well as personal life.
