In the recent decade, the rise of females in the corporate world has been witnessed, showing that they are in the right direction. Besides, these women’s progress, the country is also contributing to help females grow by launching various initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, MUDRA Yojana, and SHG-based entrepreneurship programs, amongst others. Corporate to politics, women can be seen everywhere, reclaiming their value by becoming decision-makers in families, communities, and workplaces.

Indian Women defeat West Indies by 49 Runs in First Match of T20I Series
India Women secured their ninth consecutive T20I victory against the West Indies with a 49-run win in the series opener on December 15, 2024. They reached their highest-ever total of 195/4 in 20 overs due to Jemimah Rodrigues' brilliant knock and Smriti Mandhana's contribution at the DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
India's Nifty 100 Companies see 73.5% Independent Women Directors
According to the 5th Annual Corporate Governance Survey by Excellence Enablers, India's Nifty 100 companies' boards have seen significant growth in the number of independent and women directors. The average board size increased to 10.52 members in FY24 from 9.86 in FY21 and 10.48 in FY23, with IDs constituting 50 per cent or more of the board in 81 Nifty 100 companies up from 63 in FY21.

PepsiCo India launched the RevolutioNari Conference and Awards 2024 in New Delhi to promote women's empowerment in the agricultural sector. The initiative aims to empower 1 million women by 2026. The platform, based on women's empowerment in 'Partnership in Progress', celebrated the exceptional contributions of women.
