Delhi Government allocates Rs. 76,000 cr Budget for Women's Welfare
Driven by the inspiration of the concept 'Ram Rajya,' the Delhi Government has presented a Rs. 76,000 crore budget for the fiscal year 2024-25. The government has taken great steps towards empowering women with the newly launched budget where Delhi-based women who earn less than the income tax threshold would get Rs. 1,000 per month. The initiative aims to help women in different sectors of their lives specifically transportation, health, and education.
Women Only Make 1.6% of 'Fortune India 500' List
In support of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, India, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, research was conducted by Fortune India and the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research titled 'Enhancing Women Leadership in India Inc.' The study mentions that the Fortune India 500 list only includes 1.6 per cent of women leaders, while the Next 500 has listed only 5 per cent of women leaders.
Women 10% More Likely to Make EMI Repayments: Fibe Report
Fibe, a fintech platform, has revealed that women are 10 per cent more likely to make timely EMI repayments than their male counterparts, which indicates a greater sense of responsibility in credit borrowers. The study was conducted to commemorate International Women's Day where the research highlights women's consciousness while handling debt and their careful decision-making practices. This showcases their commitment to responsible debt management.
