Pet nutrition startup TailBlaze Longevity has raised $300,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by US-based venture capital firm Comma Capital. The startup has also gained visibility through its appearance on Bharat Ke Superfounders.

The company will use the funding to launch its product, HeartPour, hire team members in Ahmedabad and expand its presence among pet owners across India. Before the official launch, TailBlaze plans to provide a free serving of HeartPour to the first 500 dogs, according to a press release.

Founded in August last year by Manaal Maniyar and Palak Devpura, TailBlaze Longevity focuses on canine nutrition and longevity. The startup aims to extend dogs’ lifespans by three to five years through high-protein, low-carbohydrate nutritional formulations.

Key Highlights:

  • TailBlaze Longevity has raised $300,000 in pre-seed funding led by Comma Capital
  • The startup will launch HeartPour and expand its reach across India
  • TailBlaze develops high-protein, low-carbohydrate food products for dogs

HeartPour is a line of wet dog foods, which the start-up, based in Ahmedabad, claims has been developed after four years of R&D. This product is a blend of high protein, super-foods and an Ayurvedic PanchTatva with curcumin, black pepper, parsley, amla and tulsi.

The startup has also created its own technology called FreshTail, which is used to produce shelf-stable fresh meals. It carries over 200 items of dog food (organic), natural dog food treats (coconut, hemp, fish, strawberry), grooming products, and accessories.

TailBlaze Longevity has a commerce model based on WhatsApp, as well as quick commerce and online channels like Blinkit and BBNow.

Right4Paws' pet nutrition is a science-based, species-specific whole-food nutrition research dedicated to pet health and longevity. In December last year, the startup rose Rs 14 crore in Series A funding to build up manufacturing, R&D, functional products and specialized manpower.

Another nutrition startup, Benny's Bowl, recently raised $1.4 million in February of this year to create functional pet food products covering the following categories: gut health, allergies, renal health, and skin and coat health and weight management.

At the same time, Zoomies has secured Rs 5 crore in pre-seed funding in March this year, to expand its clean label products that are human-grade pet food products. Technology and personalized care and healthcare services are also becoming a field of interest for broader pet care companies like Super tails, who has raised $30 million in its Series C round.

TailBlaze Longevity’s funding comes amid growing investment in India’s pet care and nutrition sector. Startups such as Right4Paws, Benny’s Bowl and Zombies are also expanding their offerings through funding for product development, research and manufacturing. The trend reflects increasing interest in specialized pet food, functional nutrition and health-focused products designed to improve pets’ well-being and longevity.
