At the 72nd Miss World Festival finale, Sudha Reddy, the director of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) and chairperson of the Sudha Reddy Foundation, was announced as the first-ever Global Ambassador for the Miss World Organization. As it ushers in a new era for the internationally acclaimed pageant, this historic appointment acknowledges her profound dedication to humanitarian work, social impact, and inclusive development.
In her role as Global Ambassador for Beauty with a Purpose, Miss World's charity arm, Sudha will spearhead international outreach campaigns, support humanitarian causes, and highlight inspiring tales of resiliency and change. She will use her background in philanthropy to help the organization reach a wider audience and spread its message globally.
Sudha also participated in the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale as a juror, contributing her global perspective to the selection of the new champion. All 108 contestants attended the Beauty with a Purpose Gala, which she hosted at her home in Hyderabad, Mon Amour Palais. A proud moment for Telangana on the global scene, the gala was televised in Times Square.
She celebrated Indian craftsmanship and heritage by dressing in a custom Tarun Tahiliani ensemble for the event. Invoking the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the conviction that the world is one family—she emphasized the virtues of compassion, unity, and service in her impassioned speech. She promised to use her position as ambassador to encourage deeds of kindness and spread tales of hope across national boundaries.
The award was given by Julia Morley, the founder and chair of Miss World, who commended Sudha's longstanding commitment to international humanitarian causes.
In addition to her new position, Sudha has made a name for herself as a prominent businesswoman, cultural ambassador, and philanthropist. She has promoted corporate social responsibility and fueled MEIL's expansion in her role as director. With significant partnerships with groups like UNICEF and the Global Gift Foundation, her foundation prioritizes empowerment, health, and education.
Sudha has also represented India abroad at events like the Paris Olympics, Cannes Film Festival, and Met Gala, bringing attention to Indian philanthropy and culture. Driven by a strong belief in compassion and community empowerment, her leadership continues to shape positive change in Hyderabad and beyond.
