- For the third time, India is hosting the prestigious international beauty pageant
The Hyderabad International Exhibition Centre (HITEX) will host the Miss World 2025 grand finale on May 31. After hosting this esteemed event in 1996 and 2024, India will host it for the third time. Contestants have engaged in a number of difficult challenges over the past month, such as the top model competition, sports challenge, talent showcase, and head-to-head challenge. The red carpet will open and the much-awaited coronation gala at HITEX will follow.
In addition to honoring beauty, Miss World 2025 provides an important international stage for showcasing Telangana's cultural diversity and forward-thinking outlook. During the pre-finale activities, competitors from more than 100 nations took carefully planned tours across the state to experience Telangana's rich cultural heritage, artistic expression, and sense of community.
They went to famous sites like the UNESCO-listed Ramappa Temple, the magnificent Charminar, and the well-known Pochampally weaving villages, which are well-known for their elaborate Ikat patterns.
Notably, Miss India Nandini Gupta placed in the Top 10 finalists from Asia & Oceania and among the Top 40 quarterfinalists. Eliise Randmaa of Estonia led Europe's Blue Team to victory in the sporting event held at Gachibowli Stadium. With a riveting performance, Indonesian competitor Monica Kezia Sembiring won the Talent Showcase Finale at Shilpakala Vedika and secured a spot in the Top 10 continental. Miss India's Bollywood dance performance dazzled the crowd.
Trinidad and Tobago (Americas-Caribbean), Wales (Europe), Zambia (Africa), and Turkey (Asia-Oceania) were among the regional winners of the Head-to-Head challenge held at the Trident Hotel.
Namibia, Ireland, Martinique, and India (Nandini Gupta) were the continental winners who made it to the finals of the Top Model competition.
In addition to sightseeing, the competitors interacted with locals to learn about Telangana's social projects, particularly those that support women's emancipation, skill enhancement, and grassroots business.
Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton said, "I am glad that Telangana prioritizes women's safety in every field, and I'm grateful to witness that firsthand." Telangana is now seen as a growing international destination as a result of this cultural exchange, which has elevated the pageant above the level of a competition.
