ShellKode & AWS launch 'EmpowerHer' to Train 1 lakh Women Developers

The groundbreaking programme "EmpowerHer" has been launched by ShellKode and Amazon Web Services (AWS) that aims to train and empower 100,000 women developers with expertise in Gen AI technology. In order to promote women engineers in the Indian tech industry and democratize next-generation AI and also to impart innovative tools and AI expertise to emerging female developers.
The future female technology developers will be paired with experienced Gen AI mentors who can provide them with guidance, one-on-one mentoring, and a network of support. The program will organize seminars, networking events, and interactive online forums that will provide participants with lively sessions with business leaders and other participants. Developers will be able to integrate generative AI into their projects and improve the applications due to this partnership.

The Indian tech industry is aiming to democratize the AI landscape by increasing the number of women developers, with companies like Microsoft and the Karnataka government pledging to upskill and certify over 75,000 women by 2025. Additionally, the Karnataka government, in partnership with JobsForHer, launched the HerShakti initiative, aiming to upskill 500 women in tech within six months.
