3 Female Entrepreneurs Honored by Children's Hope India

Winners of the Annual Spring Luncheon awards have been announced by the renowned nonprofit organization that is devoted to helping impoverished children, Children's Hope India (CHI) in New York. The event will be organized on May 8 at the Leonard's Palazzo in New York. The programme aims to promote CHI's "30/30 Education Initiative," which gives children in its facilities access to vital educational tools.
The three female honorees include:
Roopa Unnikrishnan: She is the IDEX Corporation's Woman of Distinction and SVP of Strategy and Corporate Development. Roopa is a Rhodes Scholar, an MBA graduate of Oxford University, and a gold medalist for the President's Arjuna Award. She is also a mother of twins, a strategist, and a sportswoman.
Avani Modi Sarkar: Avani is an artist from New York and co-founder of Modi Toys. She is one of this year's Rising Stars because of her creativity and spirit of entrepreneurship.
Jeena Raghavan: Another Rising Star receiving recognition at the Luncheon and a graduate of Parsons is Jeena Raghavan. She has made major contributions to arts and entrepreneurial pursuits.
In addition, 17 other female entrepreneurs will be featured at the Luncheon where Gopi Vaid and Ranna Gill will showcase and sell their products at the event. 15 per cent of the sales revenue will support CHI's "30/30 Education Initiative," which aims to empower children through education and entrepreneurship.
