Annapurna J has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Serentica Renewables. This addition is part of the organisation's efforts to build on its leadership as a Canadian-based renewable energy company continues to grow in India.

Annapurna will report to the group CHRO and will also be based in Mumbai. She will have overall responsibility for People Strategy, Organisation Development and Talent Transformation across all of the Company's operations.

Serentica is increasing its capacity to provide firm dispatchable renewable energy to customers in the industrial sector and is looking to innovate its current approach to providing energy in a cost-effective manner.

According to the company, Annapurna brings with her more than 24 years of experience working with public and private sector companies to lead numerous transformational initiatives. Her key areas of strength are in concluding Mergers and Acquisitions Integration and creating Employee Value Proposition designs that align to both the company's and the employees' expectations of employment.

Prior to joining Serentica, Annapurna was Group Head of Talent Management with Mahindra & Mahindra, where she developed leadership pipelines, succession governance and worked on numerous diversity-focused initiatives.

Ruhie Pande stated that Annapurna’s wealth of knowledge will help accelerate Serentica’s long-term talent acquisition strategy.  She also stated that as the company expands its clean energy platform, the employee and culture aspects remain integral to the anticipated robust growth of the organization.

Annapurna J expressed that she was coming to Serentica at an exciting time in India as its energy transition continues to impact the demand for industry and infrastructure, and that the opportunity to help create an agile, purpose-driven organization focused on the decarbonization of energy-intensive industries is something she looks forward to helping bring to fruition through an alignment to sustainability objectives.

Annapurna has completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the Xavier Institute of Management in Bhubaneswar and also has an under-graduate qualification in Commerce from the University of Calcutta.

The wider development of Serentica Renewables Renewable Energy portfolio has happened as India develops its strategy for industrial decarbonisation and following the increasing demand from businesses for long-term clean electricity supply contracts.

This progression will continue to be supported through the appointment of a senior HR professional experienced in leading large-scale transformations to develop Serentica's organisation especially given the anticipated level of growth associated with building out its project pipeline and significantly increasing its workforce across a number of states as a result.
