Rohini Laya Venkateswaran Takes Charge as P&G Korea GM

Rohini Laya Venkateswaran has taken on the role of General Manager of Procter & Gamble Korea, marking her latest leadership assignment after a career spanning sales, commercial strategy, marketing, e-commerce and retail across international markets. She is also listed as Chief Executive Officer for P&G South Korea.

Before moving to Korea, Rohini served as Chief Sales Officer for the Indian Subcontinent, where she led P&G’s sales organization. She also held the position of Executive Director at Gillette India, taking on wider leadership responsibilities within the P&G group.

Earlier in her career, Rohini served as Vice President and Country Manager for the East Gulf, overseeing Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar, while also managing sales strategy for the Gulf region. She previously led Sales Strategy in India and held marketing responsibilities for brands including Olay and Old Spice, covering commercial strategy, brand development, channel growth and P&L management.

In addition, she spent time in the U.S. as part of the P&G-Walmart International Team, providing support to international Walmart businesses in markets such as South Africa, UK, Mexico, China and India.

Prior to this, Rohini had worked as a trade marketer at P&G, on the Olay brand, the Wella portfolio and the national expansion of the Olay brand in India, as well as other assignments around the introduction of hair color. From a customer relationship, distribution, market execution and commercial operations background, she started her career at P&G in frontline sales and key account management.

Rohini has an MBA degree in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai. Her skills for leadership at P&G Korea encompass General Management, Sales Leadership, Commercial Strategy, Brand Marketing, E-commerce, Modern Retail, Go-to-Market Strategy and International Business experience.
