Punjab Women's Hockey Team Enter Semi-Finals with 13-0 Win at Hockey India Masters Cup

The Punjab Women's Team burst into the semi-finals of the inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup as they thrashed Maharashtra 13-0 in the quarter-finals. The tournament is already underway at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.
Racing in the 35+ age group, the Punjab side showed intimidating form and coordination. Skipper Amandeep Kaur herself set the example scoring five goals, while four went to Baljit Kaur. Arun Bala, Sangeet Minj, Jaspreet Kaur, and Saniya Sharma each found the net to seal the thumping performance.
The thumping victory with this takes Punjab to the semi-finals, where they face a strong Haryana team. The eagerly awaited match is to be held on Thursday morning.
Punjab Hockey President Nitin Kohli and General Secretary Amrik Singh Powar congratulated the players for their stunning victory, appreciating the players for their hard work and brilliance. "The team's victory is an honor for Punjab."Their hard work and brilliance is the mirror of women's hockey strength in the state," added the officials.
Boosted by their strong momentum and high-quality morale, Punjab Women's Team now has their sights on reaching the final and winning the Masters Cup.
