Bharti AXA Life Launches All-Women Apprenticeship Drive to Improve Local Employment

One of the top life insurers in Odisha, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, has announced plans to expand into four more towns and cities: Puri, Keonjhar, Kendrapara, and Nayagarh. This calculated action demonstrates the company's dedication to raising insurance awareness, expanding its market share, and generating worthwhile job opportunities in underserved areas.
The company launched BIMA BHARTI, its flagship apprenticeship program, in Odisha under the Government of India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) as part of this larger vision. The program, which offers practical training in important areas like business development, product knowledge, and marketing, has started with the onboarding of its first all-female batch.
The program, which aims to up skill local youth, particularly women, also incorporates performance-based incentives, which increase participants' earning potential over the course of the six-month training period. A government-recognized certification will be awarded to successful apprentices, increasing their employability across the country.
Speaking about the initiative, Murli Jalan, Chief Business Officer – New Revenue Verticals at Bharti AXA Life Insurance, emphasized the strategic significance of Odisha and reiterated the company's dual focus on developing future-ready talent and increasing insurance access. Bharti AXA Life Insurance is promoting local development and reaffirming its position as a socially conscious insurer by fusing insurance education with economic empowerment.
